*sigh*
September 14, 2006I got pissed off today coz I went to get my glasses from the optical shop and was told it wasn't ready and that I had to wait or go back around 5pm. Well it was already 12:45, and I had to get back to the office so I wouldn't lose a whole friggin' day's pay. I think I was pretty short with the shop assistant too, I was quite terse and then I just walked out without another word. I really really wanted my new glasses, the ones I'm using now aren't very effective anymore; my eyes hurt, they get teary-eyed often from the strain, and I squint even with them on.
I was so peeved I marched right over to KFC and ordered more food than I had been planning to have for lunch. Damn. When I'm pissed off, depressed, frustrated, I always take it out on food these days. No wonder I've been putting on the pounds. And I hate it, too. Damn it, I need another outlet.
There was a time back in my early college days, when I was so angry I wanted to hit or break things, that I'd go away to the mall, hit the arcades and kick some virtual ass. I'd play King of Fighters, or if I wanted something a little more gory with blood spurting and bodies getting cut in half, I'd go for Samurai Shodown. If I was leaning more towards old-fashioned punching and kicking and general mauling, I'd head over to Rival Schools.
There was this one time when I was in a really bad mood, and I went to play Amakusa's Revenge, which was then on one of those wide-screen things…and I was winning…when suddenly some guy challenged. He just came over, dropped a token, and sat down to challenge me! That made me mad, but I certainly didn't want to pick a fight with a guy. Man, I was so mad I beat the crap out of his character so he'd go away.
But since I've started working I haven't been to the arcades in a long time.
The last games I played were Soul Calibur and Guilty Gear X… and now we have all these playstation, xbox, and even PC games…I am so out of touch. I really should buy myself a computer and load some games in…so the next time I get furious…I can kick some more virtual asses.
